Optimism
Problems are inevitable. But problems are soluble. As David Deutsch explains in his breakthrough book The Beginning of Infinity, philosophical optimism is not about blind faith in a world that inextricably gets better because of the mechanical motion of the universe. We create the future through our choices: which problems we choose to solve and what knowledge to create next. Optimism is about courageously maintaining an open attitude towards the future, embracing the call to solve problems - both unforeseen and unforeseeable. In the words of Karl Popper: "Optimism is a duty. The future is open. It is not predetermined. No one can predict it, except by chance. We all contribute to determining it by what we do. We are all equally responsible for its success."Optimism Ventures Pty Ltd is the holding company of Optimism Technologies Pty Ltd.
